Prof. Arun Shukla is the Head of the Department in the department of Hindi and has to his credit numerous achievements in academics as well as in other student centric programs and activities advancement of the college. concerning the He completed his Master's degree in Hindi in the year 1981 followed by NET/M.Phil. in 1983 and was awarded the Ph.D. in 1989. The topic of his Ph.D. thesis was 'हिंदी भाषा क्षेत्र के अहिंदी भाषा निकासियों को भाषिक अभिव्यक्तिी का समाज भाषा वैज्ञानिक अध्यययनद्ध" Prof. Arun Shukla's expertise in the subject and the impressive delivery of the lectures have left a deep impact on hundreds of students in a career spanning over 40 years an achievement that only a few possess and others can only aspire for.
Apart from the zealous commitment to teaching Prof. Arun Shukla has to his credit many published research papers in reputed research journals viz.

Prof. Arun Shukla has not only made a mark as an outstanding teacher but also has been a guiding light for many Research Scholars helping them complete their Ph.D. theses as their Research Supervisor/Guide. Besides being a committed teacher he has exhibited exceptional activism in areas beyond the curriculum. The Deputy Chief Minister, Govt of M.P. Shri Jagdish Dewda ji has honored Prof. Arun Shukla by awarding him a letter of appreciation for exceptional work done during the Lok Sabha elections 2024 as District Youth Co-ordinator. He is also a member of the Board of Studies in the Hindi Department at Rani Durgawati Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur. He is also a member of the Result Committee of Mata Gujri Women's College, Jabalpur.
Prof. Arun Shukla is also the Divisional Co-ordinator of Swami Viveknand Career Guidance Yojana a flagship scheme of the State Govt whereby students with even non-technical qualifications are offered job opportunities by companies/firms based on interviews. Under his stewardship of 15 years as Divisional Co-ordinator hundreds of students have been employed.
Prof. Arun Shukla's performance and achievements in academics and other areas exhibit a deep sense of commitment towards providing quality education to the students in order to mould them into better future citizens ready to face challenges and also to ensure that they are readily employable.
