Dr. Kavita Chahal is currently working as an assistant professor at the Department of Botany. She obtained her M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Microbiology; qualified CSIR-NET in Life Sciences and ASRB-NET in Agricultural Microbiology. She has to her credit 3 Awards, 2 Patents, 42 Research papers with 102 citations, 15 Book chapters, 6 Co-authored Books, 5 Books as an Editor, and 10 Books as a co-editor. She is an active reviewer of the Journal of Advanced Research and Bulletin of the National Research Centre. She is an active life member of the Mahakoshal Vigyan Parishad, Microbiological Society of India, and various national and international scientific societies. She is the State Coordinator of ECOR Foundation of India. She has been the nodal officer of the Eco-club, CTO of NCC Navy, In-charge of NSS, and a member of other college committees.
